Anne Heinze Silvis is an Extension Specialist in Program Development at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Anne is Director of the Laboratory for Community and Economic Development, and serves on the Community and Economic Development Team for University of Illinois Extension. Her work focuses on topics such as leadership development, community leadership, sustainable agriculture, and telecommunications and access in rural areas.

Ron Hustedde directs the Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute an innovative program which supports entrepreneurs in creating new businesses in 41 Kentucky counties. The program was selected as one of the "16-best" entrepreneurship programs in the country by the Kauffman Foundation. Ron is an Extension Professor in the Department of Community and Leadership Development at the University of Kentucky. He is well-known for his expertise in community-based entrepreneurship and public conflict resolution. Ron served as President of the Community Development Society in 1995. In 2007, Hustedde received the prestigious National Excellence in Community Development Award from the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges.
