CDI is an intensive, fun, invigorating five day training program held each August in Moline, Illinois. The training is practical, hands-on, and comprehensive. You can immediately apply what you learn back home in your community. The program is designed for development professionals, community leaders, and elected officials. The complete CDI program consists of attending three sessions, referred to as Year One, Year Two, and Year Three. Learn more about CDI.

The Midwest CDI is part of a national training network of six CDI sites that are accredited by the Community Development Council (CDC). CDC administers the PCED certification process in which you can become a Professional Community and Economic Developer. Participating in CDI moves you closer to certification.
