CDI is an intensive, fun, invigorating four-day training program held each August in Moline, Illinois. The training is practical, hands-on, and comprehensive. You can immediately apply what you learn back home in your community. The program is designed for development professionals, community leaders, and elected officials. The complete CDI program consists of attending three sessions, referred to as Year One, Year Two, and Year Three. Learn more about CDI.
CDI includes more than classroom sessions. Artistic interludes of music, dance, and poetry energize us during the day. Each class/year takes a field trip, Year One participants will visit the historic Deere-Wiman House in Moline to learn about the process of revitalizing the Quad Cities. There will be a reception at the Golf Clubhouse on Arsenal Island, an historic island in the Mississippi River and home to the Rock Island Arsenal. CDI will have an optional Bike Ride, which has become a popular activity. A lovely dinner is held at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, complete with live jazz. We will close with an Award Breakfast to recognize participants and supporters. In other words, there will be many opportunities to add new, engaging people to your network.
